Not a bad way to finish off the Heart of Fear instance: less than a full night's worth of attempts to kill this one from start to finish. We had held off on Empress and did a couple heroic fights in Terrace of the Endless Spring instead, thinking that it might be easier given that we'd just switched 2/3 of our regular healers to new characters. With average item levels at or below 490, things definitely felt strained at times, but overall they played admirably.

The next patch approaches and we're not sure how much time we have to finish things off, but it's nice to have made it this far through roster changes, vacations, a fairly slow start to the tier, and the terrible raid comp we've had to deal with through much of the expansion. Onward to Tsulong!

This fight wasn't too bad, we probably should have taken this on awhile ago. Our "everybody randomly throw crowd control and pray that the adds stop" strategy didn't work so well though; once we coordinated that, the rest was a cake walk.

Banana, apricot, apple, plum, pear...hmm, something seems to be missing. What could it be?

It's okay though, Pierre led us to victory!

Nothing like spending an entire night wiping, only to come back the next day, make a single change in the strategy, and crush the boss instantly. Oops! We're actually pretty smart, but you'd never know it from these posts we make. Don't judge us!

So, how was your day?

This fight took us about fifty pulls more than it should have, especially after we made the All Star decision to completely reverse our strategy and start over, just because a few people couldn't figure out how to dodge the big shiny things. We made it through terrible apps, vacations, and enough terrible play to fill your average LFR, but hey, we got it!
